Bourbon Chicken Recipe





Bourbon Chicken Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, crushed
  • 4 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • salt to taste

How to make Bourbon Chicken:

  • Wash chicken breasts and trim all excess fat.
  • Pat dry then cut into bite size pieces.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  • Place chicken in it.
  • Cook for 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Then remove from the oil.
  • Now add all remaining ingredients in the skillet.
  • Heat until well mixed and dissolved.
  • Then add fried chicken and bring to a  boil.
  • Reduce heat to low.
  • Cover with a lid and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Bourbon Chicken is ready to serve.

  • Enjoy with steamed rice.
